RACE PROGRAM DETAILS
MORE STRUCTURED RULES WILL BE SET UP SOON, BUT THESE ARE THE BASICS FOR NOW
In order to maintain a structured race program, all races must be started on time with the race system clock. No delays will be allowed for drivers not ready. Late entry is allowed only from the designated pit entry area. Drivers must assume a spot on the drivers stand before they can start running.
Any 1/18 to 1/8 scale size R/C Cars, Buggies or Trucks legal to run in ROAR Class Rules or specific rules set for any Class by KRC can be used to participate in our On-Road Races. Only 1/18 to 1/8 scale likewise ROAR/KRC race-legal models designed for Off-Road use can participate in Off-Road Races.
All race classes are considered "OPEN" or modified unless otherwise specified. All motors, Speed Controls, and Battery Packs used must be ROAR approved.
|
Weeknight Racing consists of 2 Qualifying Rounds followed by 1 Main Round. You must be registered by 6:30PM to ensure entry into the first round.
|
Weekend Racing consists of 3 Qualifying Rounds followed by 1 Main Round. You must be registered by 11:00AM to ensure entry into first round.
|
Placement in the Mains is based on the best single Qualifying Round of the Drivers. This is generally referred to as the "Rocket Round".
A resort of the Qualifying setup before Round 3 is generally performed in our weekend programs when Classes populate to multi-race levels. This selects the best run for drivers out the scores for the first two rounds and uses that to rank performance and sets up new races for round 3 with those results. This places drivers together with those of more equal skill levels giving another chance to have a faster run. It must be noted that this only can be done properly when there is no frequency conflicts that will interfere with the setup.
|
All Classes that populate to multi-mains will have 2 bump up drivers. For example, if you take 1st or 2nd place in a "B" main you are automatically placed to race again in the "A" main of that class.
All races are scored using our AMBrc Timing System using Autoscore software. Those that have their own AMBrc Personal Transponders can register their ID numbers when signing up for the races. For those that do not own Personal Transponders, we maintain a full set of rechargeable AMBrc Transponders that are issued to racers by color and car number by the Race Management System. $1 surcharge per Driver is added for use of our transponders. An ID to verify personal information of those that will be using our transponders must be presented.
Drivers can only operate their models from a marked position on the drivers stand during the races. The only exception to this rule is if wheelchair bound. In that case any place on the main floor trackside is acceptable.
Special rules apply to racing at KRC when entering races late or re-entering races after an emergency pit stop repair. |
#1 Re-entering the race can only be done at the designated entry spot allowed downstream from the loop.
#2 Drivers cannot move from the re-entry place until they have reassumed a place on the drivers stand.
#3 Drivers that are re-entering the races must wait for the lane to clear first. Re-entering into traffic and causing a crash will result in laps remove from their score as a fine.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
We have plenty of pit table space, but only a limited number of chairs. To ensure that you will have a chair to sit on, you must bring your own. Also be sure to bring a power cord.
|
Any ROAR legal 1/18 through 1/8 size electric off-road models can be run on our indoor carpet track ABOVE the level of those disposable-types sold in typical toy stores. Models in the 27 MHz and 75 MHz bands should have changeable frequency crystals or have synthesized channels and you must know what frequencies you have available or choose your own synthesized channels. Those in the 2.4 GHz Spectrum bandwidth are not an issue.
Charging of LiPo packs without an approved charging container is not permitted in KRC. Hard Cases are required for LiPo Packs also.
Models MUST be clean and dry before they can be run on our carpet racetrack. All models must have bodies designed for their specific class.
Models must be maintained in proper mechanical shape to be run on our carpet racetrack. Nothing can be dragging or broken. Anytime breakage does occur, the model must be removed and repaired before it can be returned to the track. Drivers are required to check their models for problems before use.
Ride height rules are strictly enforced. Models with chassis parts or hardware below minimum clearance will not be allowed to run.
Tires can be Rubber or Foam, but must sized for their designed class scale. Tires must be securely glued to their rims and have no bare spots.
CORNER MARSHAL
DUTIES ARE REQUIRED. All drivers are required to serve as Corner Marshals
for one race following each of their heats or mains, or serve for an
alternate race as instructed by the Race Director. The only exception is
physically disabled or the driver has arranged a suitable substitute.
Drivers failing to timely provide service as Corner Marshals will become
disqualified from our races at KRC. |

KRC PRODUCTS WEB SHOPPING SERVICE UPDATES
We are in the process of putting up a completely new web shopping system on a separate secure server. This new site will greatly improve our service and is being set up right now. Hopefully, it will be on line real soon. All of our products will be shown online with their current stock status. No more need to call or come over to see if we have an item you are looking for. We are also working on putting up a new shop with multiple raceways, but do not have any more details for that at this time. We hope you will check us out for your product needs. The old cart is still up and functional, but only shows a fraction of our inventory. If you need something not in there, please contact me BY CLICKING HERE.
