10TH SCALE RC OFF-ROAD RACERS

Notice: This section is not an ad for me looking to sponsor drivers. I don't have the funds for that, sorry. Some have taken this section that way.

Hi, I'm Kevin Altepeter, owner of the Crookston, MN OFF-ROAD RACETRACK. I went to great lengths and personal expense to build a decent full-service off-road racetrack with AMBrc Race Management Hardware and Autoscore Pro Software for having professional R/C Racing in this area and am wondering, "Where did all the racers go?" I, for one, have not lost my interests in the fun of remote control model racing. In the summer, I will practice here and race in other cities. In the winter I have been having races at the East Grand Forks Minnesota American Legion Club, which has been going well. This and other area racing activities are shown on the AREA ACTIVITIES page of this site.

I built the track to allow RC Off-Road Races and activities to be held in the local area. Local to me means not having to drive 100 plus miles to find a decent track to run on. At least now, we can get together here with friends and race. I had been involved in a lot of racing action in other cities in 2004. My wife and I purchased a camper. It is great to be able to pull up along side of a track like that country one that was in Bemidji and stay right there with all the comforts of home! (My wife thinks the main reason I wanted the camper was for family camping at the lake) There has not been organized Off-Road racing in Fargo, ND since 1997, but there will be in 2004-2005. See my AREA ACTIVITIES page for more on that. We also have a web forum going to provide locals to chat and post R/C activities. CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE KRC FORUM

As far as on road racing goes, there are plans in the works for that also. We plan to schedule some organized parking lot races in 2005. These will be set up on larger parking lot locations using the RoadRail Portable R/C Car Racing System and all of our normal professional equipment we have including our AMBrc system. UPDATE: We have put together a race trailer and are running races out of it. Information on this and other events will be advertised on the AREA ACTIVITIES page of this site and in posts on the WEB FORUM.

What do you say guys?!! Do you want get together to do some RC racing? We do have fun just playing & practicing on our new off-road racetrack, but organized racing would be better. So far, the most racers that have showed up at one time was eight including myself. If we could push that number to closer to twenty or better, then we could have some real good racing action. Wouldn't this be better than sitting in front of the tube? We have pit area, electricity, track water, parts, services, lap counting services with the latest AMBrc system during racing and practice, two digital displays, tires, rims, motors, fuel, etc., etc... What we need now is you!

Give me some input please. Submit your comments to me by clicking here.
