HOT NEW SYSTEM FEATURE! Our FM Transmitter keeps everyone involved informed by transmitting sounds from the race program and the race announcer without the use of loud, disruptive PA systems. PA systems are a major cause for complaints in having an organized race event. It is important that the racers know when their heat/main is up, be able to hear the start tone, the countdown times during the race and etc. With the nose of our nitro burning engines, announcements needed to be very loud to be any use. With our transmitter, anyone within approximately 1/4 mile can tune in to our transmissions. Small table top FM radios (practically everyone has one) can be used in the pits. Personal Walk-Man FM receivers with ear phones can be warn by the drivers making them have no problem knowing when the race starts or when to pit for fuel during extended mains. Cool huh? OOPSIE, THE PICTURE BE GONE. I WILL FIX IT...

SCHEDULING AND OTHER INFORMATION Kevin's R/C Products & The Altepeter Off-Road Raceway have the latest Race Management Equipment and Software. It can be pre-arranged for us to run events at your location provided there is some profitability possible, we can fit it in our schedule and the location is not too far from us. We have fully mobilized our equipment by putting everything into a 6' x 12' Cargo Trailer with an 8' x 11' retractable awning that can set up a race very quickly at any site. As of the 2005 season, we have added two digital displays and an FM Transmitter to keep racers and spectators informed throughout the program. With the FM Transmitter, there is no longer a need for loud PA systems, which is the main cause for public complaints. Racers can use pocket radios and earphones to hear announcements of race times and stats. Along with this, smaller boom-box FM radios can be used in pit areas making announcements easier to hear for all at a lot lower volume levels. Cool Huh? In the winter months, we have been running Carpet Oval Races in the East Grand Forks American Legion Club with great success. We also tried to start up regular Parking Lot On-Road Racing going in East Grand Forks, but could not get turn-outs adequate enough to fund our efforts on a regular basis. The Altepeter Off-Road Raceway in Crookston Minnesota can have great racing action, but cannot have open, publicly advertised races due to zoning issues. This leaves our state of the art R/C race management equipment system sitting unused often, which is a real shame. We would like to run more races in our region. KRC Products & Services is a struggling company that cannot afford to fund costs for promoting R/C Racing Events with uncertain Racer turnouts, but would be happy to run a race for you racers at your location. What this means is that is if you have a regular group of people assembling to run R/C Models somewhere that will commit to show up to participate in an organized public race, you can hire us to run a structured event for you. Instead of a few hours of playtime and practice running together, you can have an organized racing event with all of the features necessary using state of the art equipment! When we come to manage your race, we are not there to take over. This is your show and your track. You run it the way you see fit. Our job is to provide equipment needed and full technical support. You decide how stringent the rules will be including what Classes will allow what, how the schedule will be run, what the general race rules are and what penalties will be assessed to those that do not follow them. An example of this is if we set the race start delay to 5 minutes to get races going and people are crying out, "Pease wait, I am not ready!" do we wait for them? Another example is the rule of being required to serve as Corner Marshall after they run in any heat or main. This is a huge problem for any R/C Race director; A race is about to begin and the required Corner Marshalls have disregarded their duties. It is not fair to start a race for the drivers up without Corner Marshals, so a delay is inevitable. What do we do to penalize in this case? This is up to the Track to decide. Also, track maintenance and watering schedule is up to the Track Operators to take care of. Costs involved are negotiable, but we do require certain minimums. We must be guaranteed $100 per day plus expenses or be paid half of the total gate before expenses, whichever is greater. We collect all entry fees at our race director station to accurately track gate amounts. Expenses are round trip travel with our equipment, lodging, meals and costs for prize ribbons and other racing expenses. To give you an idea what this means, for us to run a race in Grand Forks it would be at least $100 Fee + about $15 fuel for pickup/trailer + costs for prize ribbons and meals; we could not consider running the race if there were less than 12 entries paying $10 each directly to us. ($120) This is definitely not unreasonable, as these things go. Please click here to contact me if any questions or for more info. IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE AND SAFETY NOTICE A release of claims and acceptance of full responsibility for any liability resulting from running your models in the Racing activities will be on the back of our entry forms. This must be read, signed and dated before you will be allowed to enter any races. If an entrant is under 18, their parent or legal guardian must also sign the form. KRC Products will accept no responsibility for any type of accidents or injuries to neither racers nor spectators and offers no insurance coverage whatsoever for these races. What this means is that if your model goes out of control and hits someone causing them injury, you as the driver will be responsible directly. We strongly recommend all nitro engine models be fitted with a Fail-Safe device as a minimum prevention method for safety reasons. |
