What scale are sprint cars that you guys run?? I've been looking at getting the 1/10 Losi Slider or the 1/18 Slider.  Any suggestions?

They are running 1/10th scale. All the chassis are Custom Works. You won't be able to run the Losi Slider with them.

i dont know much about it but why is it that it has to be a custom works chassis? i know the new losi is a gear box car and i thought thats what it needed to be but again im not clear on why it cant be run. it would be a good thing to let people know the difference or why it has to be just that chassis.

I thought the Losi Slider was 1/18th scale. But I am old and the memory is the second or third to go.

lol no thats cool they just came out with a new 1/10th scale slider. pretty adjustable too. would that be possible to use in that class or no? i guess i would just look at it cause it is cheaper than the custom works. if it is possible it would be a bit easier to build that class. like i said i dont know the rules on it so this is why i am asking

The ones that really know the Class are Bryan, Janelle, Rob  and Ron; the only ones that ran in that class. I have not heard from any of them for a long time on here. I think Rob has decided to leave the hobby, but the others will likely run.

Planet earth to Bryan, do you copy?

A newbie question....what's the difference between direct drive and gearbox? I've been searching it but not finding any useful information.  Just wondering what type that Losi is??

Direct drive is just that, the spur is on the axle (like a onroad pan car) and the gearbox is where the input gear is connected to the axles thru a series of gears (like they use in offroad cars and trucks). Hope that helps.

I think the Losi Slider is a gearbox style.
